A google search PRODUCT MARKETING CAMPAIGN for election 2020.

For Election 2020, Google Search’s Civics team created a number of features to help people find the information they needed to participate in the democratic process. Features to help voters find information about how to register, how to vote in their states, and to find polling and ballot drop off locations. These features were seen nearly 500 million times.

We created a brand, product marketing campaign, and guidelines to help drive awareness and traffic to these super helpful features. Centered around the campaign message “Know Your Vote” we connected Google Search’s deep equity to the present moment, reminding users that Search is the place to get smart on the issues and the operations of voting using the tagline “Get Smart. Take Part.”

No matter where you live, you can search for “how to register to vote” and you’ll find information about voter registration in your state. Or search “how to vote” to get details about how you can vote in your state — ID requirements, registration, voting deadlines, etc.

Our campaign was part of a cross-product initiative that generated 2 billion impressions across Search, Maps, YouTube, and the Google ad network.
